Weimaraners are not for everyone. They are an energtic, intelligent breed and if left to their own devices they will find ways to entertain themselves in ways that we do not find amusing. They can have separation anxiety and need consistent training and strucutre. That said, a well trained, socialized weimaraner is a lovely companion and addition to your home.
Description: The Weimaraner is a medium sized, sleek muscular dog with a grace of carriage and noble attitude which are his alone. His physical structure should reflect the purpose for which the breed was developed – a capable bird dog and retriever. Everything about the Weimaraner yields the impression of a finely conditioned athlete: strength without coarseness, and beauty without frailty. General Appearance: A medium sized gray dog, with fine aristocratic features. He should present a picture of grace, speed, stamina, alertness and balance. Above all the dogs conformation must indicate the ability to work with great speed and endurance in the field. Height: Dogs 25-27 inches Bitches 23-25 inches
